CLIA announces biggest-ever river cruise roadshow
CLIA has announced it will run its biggest ever river cruise roadshow, visiting six cities over a two-week period from March 11, 2019.
The evening roadshows, free to CLIA members, will take place in Newcastle, Liverpool and Birmingham during the first week and in Bristol, Oxford and Ipswich in the second week.
CLIA UK & Ireland director Andy Harmer said: “This will be CLIA’s biggest ever river cruise only roadshow. These events are a fantastic opportunity for our travel agent members to speak to experts within the industry. They also provide a platform for our cruise line members to meet agents face-to-face and update them on their products, experiences and destinations.”
The roadshows are for CLIA members only. Travel agents can register at www.cruiseexperts.org
Harmer also announced during the CLIA River Cruise conference in Paris that the cruise organisation will launch a dedicated, unmoderated Facebook page, CLIA Travel Agent, this autumn. Agents will be able to upload photos of trips and experiences to the site, where they will also be able to add comments.
CLIA has also launched a digital fact finder tool, ‘Cliasaurus’, which agents can use to find facts about ships, ranging from accessible cabins, types of sockets onboard to specific themes for cruises and celebrity partnerships.
“The ‘Cliasaurus’ is a fantastic tool for travel agents as it will help them to answer any customer questions that may come their way quickly and easily. This fact finder tool allows agents to find the information they’re looking for with just a click of a button,” added Harmer. “The tool will be constantly updated as CLIA adds more category searches and ship information, ensuring that agents will always have the most up-to-date information.”
