PKN Orlen doubled the number of stations in the Slovak market

With 2020 drawing to a close, PKN ORLEN is the owner of 20 service stations on the Slovak market.

“As previously announced, we have doubled the number of our service stations in Slovakia this year. The sales figures show that the ORLEN Group’s chain has won the trust of Slovak motorists and has great potential for further growth. Our efforts are focused on continued expansion with a view to becoming a leader of the Slovak retail market. These efforts are consistent with the ORLEN Group’s strategy until 2030, geared towards further strong growth of the retail segment,” said Daniel Obajtek, President of the PKN ORLEN Management Board.

Having entered the Slovak retail market in April 2019, the ORLEN Group’s chain in that country already comprises 20 stations operating under the Benzina ORLEN brand. As in the Czech Republic, the chain’s offering in Slovakia includes Polish products, such as beverages, snacks, automotive oils and fluids. Currently, motorists in Slovakia can use ORLEN stations located in the urban areas of Malacky, Holice, Lužianky, Šelpice, Šurany, Strečno, Tesárske Mlyňany, Senec, Ružomberok, Byteč, Dunajská Streda, and recently also Trebatice near Piešťany and Kysucké Nové Mesto. Once upgraded and refurbished, the new stations will be made available to Slovak motorists in 2021.

Moreover food and store services are the fastest growing sales segment at the Benzina ORLEN stations – its volumes in the Czech Republic having increased by 320% over the past eight years. It also enjoys considerable interest from Slovak customers. In addition, they can also use a modern, eco-friendly car wash service at the newly opened location in Trebatice.
