Lufthansa Cargo opened facility at Katowice Airport

Lufthansa Cargo launched a single freight integration point in the RFS (Road Feeder Service) model.

RFS may also increase the number of connections offered from Poland to the two main Lufthansa Cargo bases in Frankfurt and Vienna.

Artur Tomasik, President of the Board of Górnośląskie Towarzystwo Lotnicze, the company managing Katowice Airport underlines that even in times of pandemic company does not waste the time and signed an agreement with Lufthansa Cargo.

Moreover, launching a new integration point is a result of 15 years of diversifying the infrastructure at Katowice Airport.

Katowice airport is one of the greatest regional cargo airports in Poland. Only in 2019, more than 20,000 tonnes of freight were transported to and from the airport. Despite the pandemic 2020 may end with the same result.
