Friday is busiest day for UK departures since 2019
This Friday 26 May is gearing up to be the busiest day for flying since before the pandemic, according to aviation analytics firm Cirium.
Friday will see over 3,000 UK departures.
That is the highest number since 20 December 2019.
This Bank Holiday weekend (Friday 26 – Monday 29 May), 11,356 flights are scheduled to depart from the UK – representing over two million seats
Scheduled UK departures across the whole weekend are also set to reach 86% of 2019 levels.
Cirium says Heathrow Airport will see the largest number of arrivals, followed by Gatwick, Stansted, Manchester and Edinburgh
Most popular international destinations include Dublin, Amsterdam, Palma, Malaga and Alicante.
EasyJet will have the most flights during the weekend, followed by BA, Ryanair, Jet2 and Loganair.
