AirAsia India tries to overcome air pollution in Delhi

AirAsia India is adding an extra perk for all flyers heading to Delhi. They will be given pollution masks for protection in the smog-filled metropolis.

Pollution masks will be handed out to passengers on flights to Delhi from Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Kolkata. The airline entered into a partnership with health tech start-up Mfine which is providing the masks.

AirAsia wants to offer adequate support to avoid health related issues due to the air pollution in the city. The initiative will last until at least November 29.

Air quality in Delhi is said to be the worst of the major cities in the world. It is estimated that about 1,5 million people in India die of air pollution every year.
