Aman to open Kyoto resort this year
Luxury resort group Aman has confirmed the opening of its third resort in Japan will take place on November 1, 2019.
Aman Kyoto features 24 rooms and two two-bedroom villas, located close to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Kinkaku-ji Temple.
The resort draws on Japanese traditional ryoken inn and onsen hot spring resort concepts.
Aman Kyoto is set over 80 acres in a series of pavilions housing the 24 guest rooms.
The resort will also house two upscale dining venues in and around the pavilions.
The signature Aman Spa will have traditional Japanese onsen bathing facilities using natural spring water that flows close by.
‘Following on from the success of Aman Tokyo and Amanemu, Aman Kyoto will add another distinctive facet to our continued journey and commitment to Japan,” said Aman CEO Vladislav Doronin.
As part as a collaboration with owner the Chartered Group, the Residences at Aman Kyoto will launch in 2020.
