American arrested after punch up on plane in Tokyo
An American passenger has been arrested in Japan after video of a violent brawl on a plane between two men emerged.
The frantic fist fight took place Monday on an All Nippon Airways plane at Tokyo Narita before it was due to take off for Los Angeles.
One of the men was detained for alleged choking a flight attendant as he was taken off the plane.
The incident was filmed by passenger Corey Hour who said the arrested man ‘just flipped.’
“It was literally out of nowhere. I see him leaning over his chair arguing with the guy directly behind and he said ‘Where are you from?’ I’m going to kill you.”Hour said the airline dealt with the incident as best as they could.
ANA spokesman Marvin Singleton told ABC News the man was considered a safety threat and was arrested.
“All Nippon Airways apologizes to our passengers on Flight#6 to Los Angeles for the pre-flight incident. The individuals involved have been dealt with appropriately by local law enforcement,” the airline said in a statement.
Due to the incident the flight was delayed nearly two hours.
