Cathay Pacific increases frequencies to Asia-Pacific

Cathay Pacific has increased frequencies on some of its most popular routes, with notable additions to the airline’s Hong Kong-Tokyo, and Hong Kong-Adelaide services.

Starting on October 28, Cathay Pacific will introduce a sixth weekly service between Hong Kong and Adelaide, which will be operated by an Airbus A330-300. The airline is also introducing a new schedule for the route, which will see three flights departing Hong Kong overnight, and three in the mornings. Return flights from Adelaide will move from early morning to afternoon and late evening departures.

The new flight schedule from October 28 is as follows:

Flight CX 175 will depart Hong Kong at 00h15, and arrive in Adelaide at 11h40, with return flight CX 174 departing Adelaide at 13h00, arriving in Hong Kong at 19h20. These flights will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Flight CX 173 will depart Hong Kong at 09h15, arriving in Adelaide at 20h35, with return flight CX176 departing Adelaide at 22h15, and arriving in Hong Kong at 05h05 the next morning. These flights will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

Also from October 28, and due to increased demand on the airline’s Hong Kong-Tokyo route, Cathay Pacific is introducing an additional daily non-stop flight to Narita, Tokyo. The airline flies six times daily between Hong Kong and Tokyo (Narita), with the new flight schedule as follows:

Flight CX 526 will depart Hong Kong at 08h10, arriving in Narita at 13h10. Return flight CX 527 will depart Narita at 14h20, and arrive in Hong Kong at 18h45.

Other routes receiving increased frequencies include three additional weekly flight between Hong Kong and Frankfurt (from March 31, 2019), as well as two more weekly flights on the Hong Kong-Madrid route between June and October, 2019, turning the service into a daily for the period.
