China Pacific Tourism Year 2019

Communications Executive, Claire Wilson, joined Associate Minister for Tourism, Hon.Tai Tura to Shanghai.

The Associate Minister led the SPTO Delegation as part of the China International Travel Mart.

The week consisted of exhibition attendance and negotiations with the Minister of Culture and Tourism China, Hon. Luo Shugang.

SPTO is seeking funding from the government of the People’s Republic of China under its Belt and Road Funding Initiative.

Both governments are preparing for China Pacific Tourism Year 2019; an initiative to strengthen visibility of Pacific Island destinations by developing products that will best suit the average Chinese traveler.
