After undergoing a refurbishment that began in January, Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park will reopen Nov. 13.

When Blizzard Beach reopens, younger guests will find new touches from the Frozen franchise at Tike’s Peak. Statuettes of Olaf and the Snowgies will be in the wading pool, as will Anna and Elsa’s igloo castle.

Through Dec. 31, Blizzard Beach will also be home to special holiday offerings, including treats, “snowfall” and festive inner tubes. Santa, dressed for the tropics, will also be present for meet-and-greets.

New Frozen-themed items will be on the menu, as will some special food items themed to the Walt Disney World Resort’s ongoing 50th anniversary, including the Earidescent Ice Dream Cone and Walt’s Chili Nachos. New alcoholic beverages await adults, including the Orange Slope Dole Whip Swirl, the Red Slope Bloody Mary and the Mealt-A-Way Margarita.

Blizzard Beach’s water is heated throughout the park.

Disney’s other water park, Typhoon Lagoon, will close for refurbishment on the same day Blizzard Beach reopens.
