easyJet will fly from Gdansk
easyJet airlines announced the entrance to Gdansk with a new route to Berlin-Tegel. The sale of tickets has already begun, adding Gdańsk as the 160th airport in the easyJet network. The carrier plans to handle over 22,000 passengers on the April 2, 2018 merger in the first summer season. Flights will be served by plane A319 three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Ticket prices start from 35.99 EUR.
The easyJet assumption is to make traveling easy and affordable, and the new route will certainly facilitate the development of business and leisure tourism between the two cities. The connection between Gdansk and Berlin-Tegel strengthens easyJet’s position in Poland, adding Gdańsk as the 19th route from Poland and the 160th airport served by easyJet in Europe.
We are excited about the opening of a new connection to / from Gdańsk. We are sure that the new Berlin route will not only be popular among passengers from Gdansk, but also will bring tourist traffic from Germany, which will contribute to the region’s economic growth. As the leading airline in Europe, we are pleased to further strengthen our network in Poland thanks to this new route, which in our opinion will be very popular and allow us long-term, sustainable growth and provide passengers with a wider choice of destinations, all at low tariffs and great service – said Thomas Haagensen, Director of easyJet.
EasyJet’s entry to Gdansk is a great gift for Christmas. When the route to Berlin disappeared from our network of connections, in response to numerous inquiries from passengers, we assured that we would strive for its return, both among carriers flying from our airport, as well as those whom we invite to Gdańsk. Today we are pleased twice – welcoming one of the world’s largest low-cost carriers and offering our passengers a promised connection to Berlin – added Tomasz Kloskowski, President of Gdansk Airport.
