Emirates operates 100% sustainable aviation fuel flight

Emirates just completed its first flight with 100% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
The demonstration flight lasted more than one hour over the Dubai coastline.
It was the first 100% Sustainable Aviation Fuel flight in the Middle East and North Africa.
Emirates worked with GE Aerospace, Boeing, Honeywell, Neste and Virent to procure and develop the SAF.
Eighteen tonnes of SAF were blended.
Adel Al Redha, Emirates COO said: “This flight is a milestone moment for Emirates and a positive step for our industry.”
Emirates’ first SAF blended flight was in 2017, operating from Chicago on a Boeing 777.
