From Warsaw to Colombo with LOT

LOT Polish Airlines will launch a direct connection from Warsaw to Colombo in Sri Lanka. The carrier announced that it will be seasonally serviced for the time being – from November 3 to March 28.

The new direction was launched primarily for tourists.The route will be served by Boeing 787 – Dreamliner. Cruises will take place three times a week – to Colombo on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, and from the capital of Sri Lanka to Warsaw on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The trip will last 9 hours.

As the president of PLL LOT said, Rafał Milczarski, the carrier decided to launch the connection due to the great potential of this direction. Annually, almost 2 million people travel between Europe and Colombo – he emphasized.

This year LOT Polish Airlines will start direct flights from Warsaw to Miami, New Dehli, as well as from Vilnius and Budapest to London City airport. Recently, the carrier also announced new connections from Budapest to Bucharest and Brussels.

LOT transported over 8.9 million passengers last year. That’s 2 million more than a year earlier. This year, the Polish carrier plans to carry 10 million passengers.
