General manager, InterContinental Phoenicia Hotel Beirut, Manrique Rodriguez

InterContinental Phoenicia Hotel Beirut has welcomed Manrique Rodriguez as general manager.

Following his graduation from the Glion Institute of Higher Education in Switzerland, Rodriguez began his career in 1988 as a management trainee in Venezuela. He went on to build a more than three-decade career with InterContinental Hotels Group.

Rodriguez has held many general manager roles that have taken him across the world’s continents. He joins the InterContinental Phoenicia Hotel Beirut family from InterContinental Madrid, where he served as general manager for eight years.

Excited about his new challenge, Rodriguez said: “It is an honour to be so warmly welcomed as the new general manager of Phoenicia, a hotel that is a landmark in Beirut with such a rich and fascinating history. I look forward to perpetuating Phoenicia’s legacy and making my own contribution to its continuing success story.”
