Greece opens schools for tour guides

Deputy Minister of Tourism in Greece, Manos Konsolas, announces a new training facility for tourist guides. It will be located on the isle of Korfu.

It is a part of a bigger plan launched by the Greek Ministry of Tourism that aims to increase the education and the level of workshops and trainings for specialists in tourism sector.

Not too long ago a similar facility was opened in Thessaloniki. The Ministry also announced next schools to be opened in Rhodes and Crete.

The plan includes creation of more facilities in places not yet announced. It is especially beneficial for the places whose tourists usually visit Greece, but also for new destinations.

After all, the growth in number of such educational facilities means more quality as well as quantity prospects for tourism to Greece.
