Hilton signs for two new RAK hotels, including luxury brand debut
Hilton has announced that it will be boosting its UAE portfolio with two new properties based in Ras Al Khaimah (RAK), following a dual signing.
The hospitality giant has confirmed plans for DoubleTree by Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Corniche Residences and the upscale Conrad Marjan Island Resort, to be located on Marjan Island – a cluster of four man-made islands.
Representing the very first Conrad-branded property in RAK, Conrad Marjan Island Resort will be home to 120 rooms, including beach villas and water villas. Facilities will include a fitness centre, a salon, a spa, an outdoor pool and a kids’ club, as well as an impressive variety of dining options, a pool bar and beach bar.
Vice president of development – Middle East, North Africa and Turkey, Hilton, Carlos Khneisser declared: “Ras Al Khaimah is a fast-growing and highly sought-after leisure destination. The number of international visitor arrivals rose by 11.2 per cent in the first nine months of 2018 and are expected to reach one million this year for the first time in the emirate’s history.”
He continued: “Hilton has had a presence in Ras Al Khaimah for more than 15 years and we are delighted to be introducing the Conrad Hotels & Resorts brand to the emirate and to be opening the DoubleTree by Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Corniche Residences.”
