IATA created digital Travel Pass app for safe travel

IATA (International Air Transport Association) is in final development stages of its Travel Pass mobile application which will enable tourists to manage travels according to the safety requirements.

Alexandre de Juniac, IATA’s director general and CEO underlines that “Testing is the immediate solution to safely reopen borders and re-connect people.”

“The IATA Travel Pass is a solution that both travellers and governments can trust. And it is being built with data security, convenience and verification as top priorities.” – adds.

In addition, to ensure compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation Protection Regulation every passenger will decide which personal health data are sent from the phone to airlines or authorities.
