JetBlue adds Super Bowl flights

JetBlue

Just hours after the Patriots’ overtime win over the Kansas City Chiefs, JetBlue has announced extra Super Bowl flights.

The carrier will add an extra 2,000 seat for the big game in Atlanta with more flights from Boston and some existing services upgraded to larger aircraft.

From Friday, February 1 to Monday, February 4, JetBlue will fly up to eight roundtrips a day with some using larger A321 jets.

The Patriots take on the Los Angeles Rams, a repeat of the 2002 Super Bowl (then as the St Louis Rams).

Fans looking to book a flight but still without game tickets will likely have to dig deep.

The cheapest tickets for the big game are nearly $4,000 on Ticketmaster and hotel rates have ballooned to an average $474, more than double the usual price, according to data published by trip planning site Hipmunk.

Delta and Southwest Airlines are also adding flights to Atlanta from both LA and Boston.
