Kenyan airline suspends flights

Kenyan airline, Safarilink, has suspended all scheduled passenger services from April 1 to May 31, in accordance with the Kenyan government’s directives to contain the spread of COVID-19.

“The health and wellbeing of our customers and employees remain our highest priority, and we will do everything possible to assist you with your upcoming travel plans,” the airline said in a statement, adding that charter flights would still be operated on an ‘as needs’ basis.

According to the statement, bookings that have been ticketed and fully paid for can be amended to a later date with no penalties, provided the new flight itineraries are completed by March 31, 2021. Passengers wishing to cancel their flights and who are unable to travel at a later date, should contact Safarilink directly.
