Migrants from Eastern Europe return home in droves

Migrant laborers from Eastern Europe started to come back home in large numbers due to the Covid-19.

According to the Economist, 1,3 million citizens have returned to Romania and 500,000 thousand to Bulgaria.

Moreover, the number of arriving people exceeds the number of those leaving Lithuania. Approximately 700,00 thousand migrants left the United Kingdom. The case for that lays also in the obligation of quarantine what implies additional costs of renting a room or flat.
