Pay for the business lounge in Qantas
Qantas has quietly opened up some of its airport lounges to everyone. Originally reserved to experienced flyers on business flight, now lounges at six airports are available to all travelers, no matter the airline, class of travel, or frequent flyer status.
However, there’s one condition. The traveler needs to pay the fee for entry. Moreover, the service is only open during off-peak times and even then is subject to the discretion of the local lounge manager. The fee depends on the airport, starting with $35 at the Qantas lounge in Wellington. In First Class Lounge at Los Angeles one needs to pay $150.
The other lounges available to all travelers are in London Heathrow, Hong Kong, Perth and Auckland. The representative for Quantas says the new service will be the means of utilise the international lounges in the best way. The opening of the paid service is the outcome of a two-month trial at London Heathrow. The airline informs it is a permanent offer now.
