Poland appoints new UK tourism director and deputy

Iwona Bialobrzycka

The Polish Tourism Organisation (PTO) has announced the appointment of Iwona Bialobrzycka, former country manager for Amadeus, as its new UK and Ireland director in London.

The position will be supported by new deputy director, former head of marketing and PR for Apsys Group, Dorota Wojciechowska.

Bialobrzycka, who has a strong background in the tech sector, will oversee the UK outbound market to Poland.

Amongst her biggest achievements, Bialobrzycka established a strong online presence for Amadeus, launching a number of ground breaking digital initiatives.

These include introducing Amadeus Web Services technology to the first private online portal in Poland and introducing Billback technology to Poland leading to eTravel taking the top position within Accor hotel portals in the world.

Bialobrzycka will use her digital experience to promote Poland, allowing PTO to create precisely targeted and highly effective online campaigns.

She said: “The key objective is to convince Brits to come to Poland on a larger scale than ever before.

“We are inviting UK visitors to enjoy innovative gastronomy, breathtaking natural landscapes and authentic experiences.”
