Polish airports on a roll
Polish Airports are on a roll! They note a rapid growth, about twice as big as European average. In first half of 2019 Polish airports served more than 22 million passengers. Regional airports served 62% of them. It was the best half a year in history of Polish regional airports.
It is also corresponding to the predictions made at the beginning of the year. It was estimated that in 2019 Polish airports would serve about 50 million passengers. Last year Polish airports served about 45,7 million tourists. It was a growth of 14%, more than 3 million passengers in plus in comparison to the year 2017.
The prognosis for 2020 estimates the growth of another 14%. According to Civil Aviation Authority prognosis, till 2028 Polish Airports are supposed to serve 74 millions of travelers. In turn IATA estimates that in 2019 all airlines will serve more than 4,5 billion passengers. In year 2037 this number will exceed 8,3 billion people.
