Polish ski resorts urge to reopen on February 1
The Polish government decided to close ski resorts on December 28. Originally resorts were supposed to reopen on January 17, yet authorities decided to extend the restrictions.
Currently ski resorts are open only for professionals who prepare for the sports competitions.
However, ski resorts bore the costs of preparation and adoption the security measures of approximately 32 million zlotys. Every day of the delay in opening is estimated for another 5 million zlotys.
Industry representatives underline that the only way to avoid further bankruptcies and save jobs is to reopen the ski resorts in the beginning of February.
