Polish tourism market fell by 80%
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, tourism industry turnover fell by nearly 80%.
According to the president of the Polish Tourism Organization, Rafał Szlachta the current estimates are approximate and detailed data will be presented soon.
However, one can say the event and exhibition sectors are highly affected by the pandemic. The situation looks slightly better in the domestic tourism where the average decline in industry turnover s is 80-85%. Nevertheless, there are also tourism sectors like inbound tourism and conferences where the drop has reached 90%.
Rafał Szlachta indicates that the situation may improve after mass vaccinations when Poles seek a break from the reality of the coronavirus.
