Prime Minister Andrej Babis as a first inculcated person in Czech republic
Prime Minister Andrej Babis was the first person who received a vaccine against the coronavirus in Czech as a part of the EU vaccine strategy. As PM underlies “the vaccine is a hope for a normality”.
Czech Republic received the first batch of Pfizer’s and BioNtech’s vaccines on Saturday (26.12) which enabled to start vaccination the next day. Country will receive a total of 20 million doses of the vaccine by the end of the year an according to the Minister the campaign will last about 9 months.
All of the vaccines were passed to the four hospitals in Prague and three in Brno where the first phase of vaccination is carried out.
As vaccinating program started, Czech government introduced new restrictions as a response to the worsening situation. As a result all ski resorts are closed and people are not allowed to leave their houses from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
