Royal Caribbean passenger dies after going overboard in Puerto Rico
A passenger on Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas died after falling overboard.
The man fell from a 10th floor deck while the ship was docked in Puerto Rico.
After some time searching the waters late Wednesday, US Coast Guard divers pulled the body from the harbor.
“We are assisting authorities with their investigation of the death of a male guest in San Juan, Puerto Rico,” the line said.
“Our hearts go out to his family and loved ones during this difficult time.”
The victim hasn’t been named but is a 46-year old from Naples. Fl, according to reports.
CCTV footage indicates it may have been intentional, although the Coast Guard is still to determine if alcohol, drugs or foul play was a factor.
The ship is on charter for a week-long Atlantis Events’ LGBT cruise from Fort Lauderdale.
