Slovakia specialist ceases trading
A travel company specialising in holidays to the Tatra Mountains in Slovakia has ceased trading after 15 years in business.
Mountain Paradise, based in Altrincham, Greater Manchester, also traded as Tatra Photography and Tatra Yoga.
It was part of the CAA’s ATOL scheme so customers booked for future trips are covered and can claim a refund for their trip.
BAA said it believes there are no customers currently overseas.
Head of ATOL Andy Cohen said: “We understand this will be concerning news for anyone who has booked to travel with the company. However, the ATOL scheme exists for exactly this kind of situation and we are making immediate arrangements so all ATOL protected customers can claim full refunds as quickly as possible.
“So while this situation is very disappointing for the customers affected, it is also a timely reminder of the importance of remembering to check for ATOL protection when booking holidays.”
