The Radom – Sadków airport is closed to civilian aircraft

The Radom – Sadków airport from 1 January is closed to civilian aircraft. This is to enable the “full and trouble-free” expansion of the port.Closing the port is to be the first step allowing for the actual start of investment activities at the airport in Radom.The next will be the complete closure of the airport for air traffic, which, according to the PPL announcement, should take place at the beginning of April 2019. Then it will be possible to start investment works on the most critical part of airport infrastructure – the runway.The owner of the Radom airport at Sadków is Polskie Porty Lotnicze. The port will be thoroughly modernized and will have clearly defined tasks. Radom is to take the pressure off the crowded Okęcie, it should also be a complement to the Central Communication Port.As Prime Minister Morawiecki said, Radom will be part of the program of developing the aviation sector in Poland. Ultimately, a dozen or so million people will use this port. It is to be an important investment for the economy of the city and the Radom region.
