Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) marks 60th anniversary
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) today marked its 60th anniversary with a one-minute video to express its sincerest appreciation to all friends of Thailand.
Today, TAT has cancelled its annual celebration to mark its anniversary in line with the Royal Thai Government’s current nationwide surveillance, prevention and control measures for the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).
TAT as a state-run enterprise is doing its utmost to strictly implement preventive measures and heighten awareness for all tourists in Thailand to protect them from being exposed to the virus.
In the meantime, TAT would like to remind everyone to “stay healthy while travelling” by practising frequent hand hygiene measures (washing with soap or using alcohol-based gel). Kindly wear a hygienic mask while travelling, avoid close contact with anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms, and avoid visiting crowded places. If feeling sick, do seek medical care as soon as possible and inform the healthcare personnel about the details of your recent travel history.
The TAT’s offices in Thailand and around the world are ready to help and act as coordination centres for travellers wanting any updates on the COVID-19 situation in Thailand. Travellers can keep up to date with the COVID-19 situation in Thailand at the TAT Newsroom (https://www.tatnews.org/) and the Department of Disease Control (https://ddc.moph.go.th/viralpneumonia/intro.php).
