Uniworld launches new cruise and rail journey in India

Uniworld Boutique River Cruises is nolstering its Exotics Collection for 2023, with the launch of its first Cruise and Rail journey in India.

There is also a new itinerary in Egypt as part of its family-orientated Generations programme.

“We are excited to expand two of our most popular offerings – Cruise and Rail and Generations – into our Exotics portfolio for the first time,” said President and CEO Ellen Bettridge.

Both trips come with luxury accommodation, fine dining and curated local encounters.

Following the inaugural season of its Cruise and Rail programme in Europe, Uniworld is teaming up with Maharajas’ Express to offer a new 16-day journey through India.

The trip combines seven nights’ sailing aboard the Ganges Voyager II from Kolkata, with a luxury private train journey through the Golden Triangle and Rajasthan to Mumbai.

It takes in the Taj Mahal, Amber Fort and Ranthambore National Park – home to one of the world’s largest populations of Bengal tigers

The itinerary also features four MAKE TRAVEL MATTER Experiences including learning about the art of making ornamental brass objects and a visit to local NGO Calcutta Rescue,.

Departing on 28 October 2023, prices start from £15,089 per person sharing.

A further update to Uniworld’s Exotics programme for 2023 is that the Timeless Wonders of Vietnam & Cambodia itinerary will go from 13 to 15 days, with two added days in Vietnam’s fascinating capital city of Hanoi.
