Visa-free entry for USA not for all

Visa-free entry to USA for Polish citizens? Not all of them. According to the source, tourists that visited high risk countries need to apply for a normal visa.

Such countries are Yemen, Syria, Sudan, Somalia, Libya, Iraq, Iran and North Korea. People who visited those countries after March 1st, 2011, have to apply for a regular visa. The same condition concerns people who hold a citizenship of North Korea, Iraq, Iran, Sudan or Syria. The details of the program are available at travel.state.gov.

The decision that Poland will join the visa-free zone was announced in October 2019. US Ambassador to Poland, Ms. Georgette Mosbacher confirmed that the procedures that will allow Poland to join the program will last until the end of the year.

After Poland joins the program, Polish citizens will be able to travel to the US (50 states, Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands) without a visa for 90 days for tourist and business reasons. First visa-free travels will probably take place in 2020.
