Visit Taiwan’s booth to see why Taiwan is the next great MICE location

Taiwan Tourism Bureau booth at IT&CMA 2022

Taiwan today held an opening ceremony for the Taiwan pavilion at Incentive Travel & Conventions, Meetings Asia (IT&CMA). IT&CMA is a B2B hybrid event focused on the Asian MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) market, too boost the MICE economy after epidemic era.

The Taiwan pavilion, Booth A2, is a collaboration between the Taiwan Tourism Bureau (TTB), MEET TAIWAN and the Taipei City Government’s Department of Information and Tourism. The Taiwan pavilion also features invited travel trade representatives from airlines, conference organizers, hotels and travel agencies. Together, these representatives will be available to help hundreds of IT&CMA attendees make Taiwan their next great MICE location.

Visitors to TTB’s booth can enjoy immersive 360° videos that take them on aerial and underwater journeys across many of Taiwan’s most beautiful landscapes. They can also take virtual strolls through small towns and famous sites, and experience traditional Taiwanese crafts and cultural festivals. The pavilion also offers fun activities and prizes, including Poke & Play, lucky draws and presentations for buyers.

Situated in the heart of Asia, with regular direct flights from many Asian cities, Taiwan is a convenient destination choice for events. Taiwan features dozens of special venues for any occasion that are suitable for hosting gatherings of small groups of 10 all the way up to arenas that can accommodate more than 15,000 people. Taiwan has some of the strongest Covid-19 prevention policies in the world, making it the next great location for MICE organizers to host their activities.

Dozens of hotels around Taiwan can cater to the needs of MICE attendees, no matter their dietary, cultural or religious needs. Taiwan has been broadly lauded as a very Muslim-friendly travel destination, in June winning “Inclusive Destination of The Year (non-OIC)” at the Halal in Travel awards, as well as being second on the Mastercard-CrescentRating’s Global Muslim Travel Index for two years running. Taiwan offers abundant Muslim-friendly MICE venues and restaurants.

Beyond the confines of meeting venues, Taiwan is a paradise for outdoor team-building activities. Covered in mountains, with 258 mountain peaks over 3,000 meters in height, many half-day and full-day group hiking activities are available within short distances from major cities. Hundreds of miles of smooth and safe bikeways running through beautiful vistas make Taiwan perfect for green MICE and sustainable tourism.

TTB’s global promotion of MICE in Taiwan will continue at the IMEX America exhibition in Las Vegas from October 11-13, 2022.
