Wizz Air outlines plans for India flights
Wizz Air CEO József Váradi has detailed the airline’s plans for a possible expansion to India.
Firstly, it is dependent on receiving new Airbus A321XLR aircraft which it has on order.
This will likely be from 2024.
Váradi said it would initially offer India flights through its UAE subsidiary Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, and so offering a one-stop service from the UK and Europe.
In the future it hopes to offer direct India flights from various cities in Europe.
Wizz Air’s fleet is set to increase from 180 to 200 aircraft this year.
Váradi also hinted at possible flights to Pakistan soon.
