Tourism in Małopolska is celebrating another milestone: flights from the Middle East continue their impressive expansion. Following the successful launch of Flynas services from Riyadh to Kraków, the region has now hit another high note. Etihad Airways announced that starting summer 2026, it will operate a new route: Abu Dhabi–Kraków.
These seasonal flights will run three times weekly—Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays—from June 16 to September 5, 2026, using an Airbus A321LR. The route launch is the result of long-term promotional efforts by the Małopolska Tourism Organization, Kraków PL, and active talks held in Abu Dhabi, attended by key regional figures including Marshal Smółka, MOT President Biedroń, and Ambassador Rostek.
This new connection not only opens up convenient travel for Gulf visitors but also provides Małopolska residents with seamless access to a major Middle Eastern hub. Over time, this could significantly boost inbound tourism, enrich cultural exchange, and strengthen economic ties between the regions.
