
International visitors spent $21.6 billion in the U.S. on travel-related goods and services in October 2024, an 8% increase compared to October 2023.
From January to October, international spending totaled $210 billion, a 13% rise year-over-year, contributing $691 million daily to the U.S. economy. U.S. travel exports made up 22.7% of total U.S. services exports and 8.1% of overall exports in October.
Annual spending is expected to surpass the 2018 record of $242 billion. Key categories include travel receipts (56%), airfare (15%), and medical, education, and short-term worker expenditures (29%).
