One of the most discussed destinations at the expo was Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the former capital of the Vijayanagara Empire. The stunning ruins, ancient temples, and majestic palaces captivated visitors, positioning Hampi as a must-visit location for history lovers and photography enthusiasts.
Another highlight was Mysore, known as the “Cultural Capital of Karnataka.” The grandeur of Mysore Palace, especially during the annual Dussehra celebrations, left attendees in awe. The city is also famous for its silk sarees, sandalwood products, and rich heritage.
For nature lovers, Coorg, often called the “Scotland of India,” emerged as a top travel choice. With its lush coffee plantations, rolling hills, and abundant wildlife, the region offers a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. The nearby Nagarhole National Park attracted wildlife enthusiasts eager to experience Karnataka’s thriving biodiversity.
Kabini, a renowned safari destination, gained attention as a prime spot for tiger and elephant sightings, while Chikmagalur, India’s coffee capital, was celebrated for its scenic treks and peaceful retreats in the Western Ghats.
By highlighting these destinations at KITE 2025, Karnataka reaffirmed its position as one of India’s most exciting travel destinations, appealing to both history buffs and nature seekers alike.
