A new high-speed train service between Berlin and Paris has been launched by SNCF Voyageurs and Deutsche Bahn, starting on December 16, 2024.
Using DB’s InterCity Express (ICE) trains, the direct daytime service reduces the journey time to approximately eight hours, compared to the previous 10-hour trip requiring at least one transfer.
The train offers 444 seats, including 11 in first class, and stops at key cities such as Strasbourg, Karlsruhe, and Frankfurt along the route.
This service complements ÖBB’s NightJet overnight train between Berlin and Paris, which has been operating three times weekly since late 2023.
