A quarter of hotels in Rome won’t open after the pandemic
According to the Hotel Federation President, Giuseppe Rashioli currently in Rome 95 percent of hotels are closed and a quarter of them won’t survive the pandemic.
Moreover, part of the hotel industry has zero revenue at the end of 2020.
Today only about 80 of the 1,200 hotels of the Eternal City are open and 25-30 percent of them will never come back to the business.
It was just a year ago when the first cases were detected in one of the Roman hotels.
Since then the Italian government imposed a state of emergency. Now it’s been a year since the day of its announcement.
