Minor Hotels expands Avani brand in Europe

Minor Hotels has rebadged NH hotels in Spain and Italy under its Avani brand as it looks to expand the latter’s presence in Europe.

Avani Alonso Martínez Madrid Hotel, formerly known as NH Madrid Alonso Martínez, is housed in a 20th century building in the heart of the city and features 101 rooms with a ‘contemporary’ design, two meeting rooms and an all-day dining space with grab-and-go options.

Avani Palazzo Moscova Milan Hotel, formerly known as NH Milano Palazzo Moscova, includes 65 rooms and suites, a spa and seafood restaurant in a neoclassical building situated between the city’s Porta Nuova and Corso Como districts.

The rebranding mark debuts for the ‘upscale lifestyle’ Avani brand in both countries. The properties each feature spaces that are “smart, flexible and social” as the brand looks to attract digital nomads and bleisure travellers.

Along with the Avani Avenida Liberdade Lisbon in Portugal, the brand is set to further expand its European portfolio with openings in Italy and Germany in the coming months and the Netherlands in 2024.
