How McDonald’s influences Polish economy?

McDonald’s opened its first restaurant in Poland in 1992. Today it has so far 449 facilities and hires nearly 27,000 employees. Including suppliers, number of generating workplaces rise to 40,00.

Worth noticing is that McDonald’s cares about diversity in the workplace. Among employees are foreigners, people with disabilities, senior or students, which have a possibility of participating in the range of courses and trainings.

In addition, in 2019 McDonald made purchases in the Polish food sector for 480 million PLN. Therefore, in restaurants we are able to eat chips from Polish potatoes or burgers with beef coming from 78,00 different Polish farms. However Polish producers do not only supply domestic restaurants. They also export products to other McDonald’s in Germany, Czech Republic, UK, Slovakia and the Baltic countries.
