Anantara opens first property in Dublin

Anantara Hotels has further increased its presence in Europe with the opening of the upmarket brand’s first property in Dublin.

The hotel, previously known as The Marker, has undergone a “multi-million” euro renovation and has officially reopened as the Anantara The Marker Dublin Hotel.

Work has included the refurbishment of all 187 rooms and suites, while the lobby and bar have been “refreshed” with new furniture and furnishings. The property in Dublin’s Docklands district also includes a new restaurant, Forbes Street by Gareth Mullins, as well as a spa and rooftop terrace.

The Dublin hotel is Anantara’s seventh property in Europe – it already has a presence in Portugal’s Algarve region, Marbella in Spain, Budapest, Rome, Nice and Amsterdam.

The property was formerly part of NH Hotel Group, which is majority owned by Bangkok-based Minor Hotels, the company that also runs the Anantara brand.
