Australia won’t ban Russian tourists despite other countries cracking down on Russians travelling.

“This is not something that we are considering at the moment,” Australian Defence Minister Richard Marles told ABC News.

“We have a range of sanctions in place and the focus of our sanctions is on the Russian government… it is not focused on the Russian people themselves.

The European Commission suspended visa agreements with Russia and Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia agreed to impose travel restrictions on Russian citizens.

Australia’s decision was slammed by Ukrainian ambassador Vasyl Myroshnychenko, who claimed ‘Russian people hate Australia.’

Myroshnychenko claimed most Russian people supported the invasion of Ukraine.

“Russian people are accountable for this war… So they have to bear the responsibility.”

“If you analyse what Russia is saying here in Australia – and I’m following several Russian-speaking groups… they just hate Australia,” he said.
