A new hotel has recently opened in Wales offering guests the chance to live like a Mole.

The aptly named Deep Sleep hotel is located deep below the mountains of Snowdonia.

In fact the underground hotel is 1,375 vertical feet (419 metres) below ground.

Operator Go Below says it is the world’s deepest underground hotel.

It features just four twin-bed cabins as well as a grotto with a double bed.

Guest stays are only available for one-night stays checking in on Saturday and leaving on Sunday.

Guests are met at the Tanygrisiau Base near Blaenau Ffestiniog for a short trek up a mountain.

They are then kitted out with caving equipment to descend the world’s deepest abandoned slate mine.
